I am currently a Dean at Summit Public Schools: Sierra. I have been at Summit Sierra since its opening in 2015, originally hired as the Founding Math Teacher. Previous to my roles in the charter sector, I taught at traditional public schools in the Seattle area. Even more importantly, I am a diehard Coug, earning my undergrad from Washington State University in mathematical education. I chose to have a career in education because I have seen first hand what impact high quality educators can have on students. I have seen this through my mom in her over 30 years as a teacher, but also in my own education, having several teachers who dramatically impacted my life outcomes. My hope and why I continue this work is to ensure all students have access to a high quality education. The Pullman community has always had a special place in my heart and I am thrilled to be a part of the Pullman Community Montessori so we can continue to bring free, high quality education to this wonderful, tight knit community.
