Founding Board Member

I have been an educator in the greater Spokane area for the past 14 years. I've served as a 5th/6th grade teacher and coordinator in the Highly Capable Program for 8 years in the Mead School District. In 2014 I was selected as a School Leadership and Design Fellow with the Washington State Charter Schools Association where I had the opportunity to research and visit high performing schools all over the United States. In the fall of 2015, alongside 10 other community members, I founded Spokane International Academy, a K-8 charter school focused on high academic standards, strong character development and international-mindedness and I serve as its Chief Executive Officer. SIA has since grown to serve over 600 students with plans to expand to 800 by 2025.

I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from Whitworth University, an M.S. in Education Media Design and Technology from Full Sail University, an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a School Administrator certificate from Whitworth University.
