Jessica's Aster:

Native

If you guessed native, than congrats! You’re right! If you guessed invasive, uh.. sorry I guess..? Anyways, Jessica’s Aster is very good for pollinators, and is VERY rare. It can only be found on the Palouse, which is a shame cuz’ it’s actually super pretty. :(

Our 6th and 7th grade class has been trying to answer the question of whether we should preserve the Palouse Prairie that has 99.9% disappeared.  One of our case studies involved native and invasive plant species and their current role in the Prairie ecosystem.
